
Are you interested in becoming a 2025 Wildly Kind intern?
We are seeking motivated individuals for our summer internship program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about gaining experience in the nonprofit sector and meet the following criteria:
Age: Between 18 and 65 years old
Creative Experience: While prior experience in creative fields isn’t required, applicants should have a general experience with being a creative person (e.g., problem-solving, innovative thinking, or creating new ideas in any context)
Comfortable Engaging with Others: Must be comfortable interacting with and engaging strangers, building connections in both professional and casual settings
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with social media and capturing content, ChatGPT or similar AI tools for tasks and communication
Interest in Nonprofit Work: A genuine desire to contribute to the nonprofit sector and learn about its operations
Commitment to Kindness: Must be committed to living a kinder lifestyle and practice kindness in daily interactions, both personally and professionally
Location: Applicants must be based in the United States
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Planning and Performing an Act of Kindness
Coordinate and implement an afternoon dedicated to spreading kindness in the community.
Work with the Wildly Kind team on plans, set-up, volunteer efforts, or kindness initiatives for the event.
Document the day’s activities and outcomes via photos and video clips.
Assist in Research and Application of 10 Funding Sources for Wildly Kind
Conduct research to identify ten (10) relevant funding opportunities such as grants, foundations, or corporate sponsorships.
Draft and submit applications, proposals, or letters of inquiry for each funding source.
Work with the Executive Director to tailor the proposals to Wildly Kind’s goals and mission.
Maintain a record of deadlines, submissions, and responses.
Participate in Ambassador & Donor Relations and Satisfaction
Assist in building and maintaining relationships with current and potential ambassadors and donors.
Write and send personalized handwritten notes to donors and ambassadors to show appreciation.
Help in the organization and mailing of thank-you gifts such as flowers or small tokens of appreciation.
Content Creation for Social Impact
Choose one afternoon during the internship fo content creation for Wildly Kind, under the direction of our Social Impact Team.
Develop photos and video clips related to the Wildly Kind brand.
Collaborate with the Social Impact Team to ensure the content aligns with our brand and mission.
Assist in Planning and Coordinating "A Day to Be Kind" Campaign for Schools
Help plan and coordinate activities for our "A Day to Be Kind" campaign that will run in schools in November for World Kindness Day. Planning will take place towards the end of the internship.
Support in the outreach to schools, communication with teachers, and organizing event logistics.
Assist with promoting and engaging students in kindness-related activities and discussions.
Guidance and Expectations
The internship is designed to provide hands-on learning, and our team will assist you throughout the process, from initial tasks to final execution - ensuring you have the support and direction needed to succeed in each area.
A structured breakdown of goals and weekly expectations (15-20 hours per week) for a 12 week period will be provided to help you manage your time and meet objectives. Regular check-ins will ensure that you’re progressing and feel supported in achieving your internship goals.
While the internship is unpaid, a budget will be provided for specific tasks, such as executing an "Act of Kindness Day" and covering costs related to ambassador and donor engagement (e.g., handwritten notes, flowers, etc.).
Additionally, interns will have the option to participate in a one-hour Q&A session with the Founder to gain deeper insights into the non-profit sector and Wildly Kind's mission.
